Notice to Pro Competitors - Local Rules

 

Play is governed by the Rules of Golf of the United States Golf Association and, where applicable, by the Local Rules and definitions, subject to change for this event by the Rules Committee. The Committee and Rules Officials for this event are: Jason Sudenga, PGA Director of Golf and Larry Gunia, Head Golf Professional.  Players must get rulings only from members of the Committee.

 

TEES: Pros – GOLD TEES Amateurs - BLUE TEES  Seniors (55+) – White Tees

 

LIMITATION ON GOLF BALLS – (One Ball Rule) Appx. 1 is in effect for PROFESSIONALS only.

 

FORMAT:  One Gross/One Net Best Ball of the Foursome.  One pro & three amateurs will make up the foursome.  PROS:  Any ties for first place in the professional division will have a playoff starting on hole #17 after the last card has been turned in.  In the event of a tie on hole #17 we will proceed to hole #18.  We will continue to play holes 17 & 18 until we have a winner.     

 

DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES:  Please note, the use of distance measuring devices, including GPS based systems and laser rangefinders, ARE allowed during play.  Such devices are not to measure slope, wind and temperature.

 

DISCONTINUANCE OF PLAY:       Rule 6-8.  See evacuation Plan

• For a suspension in a dangerous situation – one prolonged siren note
• To resume play – two short siren notes, repeated

 

SCORING AREA:  The scoring area is the banquet room at the Willow Run Clubhouse.  Please return your scorecard as soon as you finish play. Players not returning a card will be listed as “NC”.

 

GROUND UNDER REPAIR:  The following areas are deemed as “Ground Under Repair” from which players will be granted relief.  Proceed in accordance with Rule 25-1b.

• Areas circled in white paint.
• If your ball lies on any sod seams you may take free relief, no closer to the hole.

 

OUT OF BOUNDS:   Out of bounds is defined by white stakes and fence lines around the course.

 

POWER LINES:  If your shot hits a power line the shot MUST be replayed.
